The Pakistan Army has announced that one of the four militants involved in the attack on a security facility in Karachi was an Afghan national who was arrested after being wounded.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack targeted a facility in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi, killing three Pakistani security personnel and injuring four others.
The Pakistan Army blamed the attack on Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, adding that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
However, the Taliban administration in Afghanistan has not yet officially responded to Pakistan’s claim that one of the alleged attackers was an Afghan citizen.
