Following a raid by Taliban forces on the headquarters of Tamadon TV in Kabul, the media outlet announced in a statement on Tuesday that there is a possibility its broadcasts may be suspended in the coming hours.

Tamadon TV said that Taliban security forces entered the network’s office coinciding with the observance of Tasu’a and Ashura. The media outlet urged citizens to closely follow the situation and remain alert to further developments.

An official from Tamadon TV also confirmed in comments to media that the issue is still ongoing but declined to provide further details. The Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.

Tamadon TV is one of the first private religious-oriented television networks in Afghanistan, founded by the late Sheikh Asif Mohseni, the former leader of the Islamic Movement of Afghanistan.
