The Afghan Women’s Freedom Network has announced the official launch of its activities in Pakistan. According to the organization, its official programs were inaugurated on July 6, 2026, in the presence of a number of women’s rights advocates and supporters in Pakistan.
According to the network’s statement, expanding its activities into Pakistan is part of its cross-border efforts to continue supporting Afghan women. The organization emphasized that “the struggle for freedom and awareness knows no borders,” describing the opening of its office in Pakistan as a new step toward expanding its mission.
The statement said the initiative was made possible through the efforts of Humaira Barakzai, founder and leader of the Afghan Women’s Freedom Network. Responsibility for coordinating the organization’s activities in Pakistan has been assigned to Fariba Hamdard, who leads the network’s organizational efforts in exile.
The network also expressed gratitude for previous support and cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to remaining a voice for Afghan women. It stated that all Afghan women, regardless of where they live, deserve access to freedom, education, employment, and human dignity, and pledged to continue its work in support of these rights.
