Inayatullah Toofan says that in recent days, widespread and organized propaganda has been launched against Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan.

Referring to the historical background of resistance among the people of Afghanistan, he said that Ahmad Massoud, as the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, is regarded as the heir to the struggle for the dignity and pride of the Afghan people. In his view, the increase in propaganda against him is driven by specific political factors and considerations.

Toofan added that one of the main factors behind this propaganda is the existence of a political and resistance movement deeply rooted in Afghanistan’s history—a movement that, according to him, is unacceptable to certain countries and actors who have “ill intentions” toward Afghanistan.

He also pointed to the role of foreign powers in Afghanistan’s political and military developments, saying that during the resistance against the Taliban government, Ahmad Shah Massoud faced plots by certain foreign actors, and that after the Taliban established their government, efforts were made to seek revenge against him.

Inayatullah Toofan emphasized that the current propaganda against Ahmad Massoud should be examined within the broader political and historical context of Afghanistan.
