The United States on Saturday deported dozens of asylum seekers and migrants to the Central African Republic, including 12 Afghan nationals.
According to The Associated Press, the aircraft carrying these individuals landed in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Among those deported were eight Iranian nationals, as well as several citizens of Nepal and Nicaragua.
The Associated Press reported that among the Afghan nationals was a young man whom a U.S. judge had previously blocked from being deported to Afghanistan due to concerns that he could face harassment and threats from the Taliban.
