Qayum Malang, the commander of the “Sepah-e Mihan Front,” announced in his first audio message, five days after the group’s attack on Yaftal-e Payin district of Badakhshan province, that he and all forces of the front are safe and in good condition.
In the audio message released on Wednesday, 31 Saratan, Malang rejected claims by the Taliban regarding the arrest of members of the “Sepah-e Mihan Front” and said that all forces of the front are in a stable situation. He also called on his supporters not to pay attention to what he described as “enemy propaganda.”
He further emphasized that the “Sepah-e Mihan Front” is pursuing its stated plans and objectives, and that its members “prefer freedom above everything else.”
These remarks come as the Taliban had previously claimed, following the recent attack in Yaftal-e Payin district, that they had arrested several members of the front.
