The Taliban’s security command in Samangan has announced that 19 people, including women and children, were injured after a wild predatory animal attacked residents of two villages in Dara-e-Suf Payin district of this province.
According to a statement from the Taliban’s security command in Samangan, security forces were dispatched to the area after receiving reports of the incident and transported the injured victims to the nearest health facility for treatment.
Reports indicate that the wild animal was killed by local residents. The exact type of the predatory animal has not yet been identified; however, based on images shared of its carcass, it appears to resemble a wolf.
Attacks by wild predatory animals on local residents in rural areas of Afghanistan are not unprecedented. Similar incidents have previously occurred in several provinces of the country, leaving a number of people injured.
