The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces carried out a new round of military strikes in response to recent attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a CENTCOM statement, more than 80 targets were struck using precision-guided munitions. The command said the targets included air defense systems, command and control centers, coastal radar installations, anti-ship missile positions, and dozens of fast attack boats affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The Islamic Republic of Iran has condemned the strikes, describing them as an act of aggression and a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
