U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran is expected to be signed on Sunday, June 14.
Referring to the ongoing negotiations, Trump warned that if the parties fail to reach an agreement, Washington has a “final option” available, though he expressed hope that it would never need to be used.
Meanwhile, Iranian officials have not yet confirmed the exact timing of the signing of the memorandum. Nevertheless, reports indicate that consultations between the two sides are continuing in order to finalize the agreement.
