IRGC Warns Britain: Supporting the U.S. Would Make London a “Legitimate Target” for Iran

A spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Saturday that if the United Kingdom supports the United States in any potential military conflict against Iran, it would become a “definite and legitimate target” for the Islamic Republic.

Hossein Mohebi, the IRGC spokesperson, told the Tasnim News Agency that any country—including the United Kingdom, Gulf states, or other governments—that assists the United States in a war against Iran would be regarded by the Islamic Republic as a “legitimate target.”

Referring to the recent use of British military bases by U.S. bombers, Mohebi claimed that if London joins Washington in any military action against Iran, the United Kingdom would become a “definite and legitimate target” for the Islamic Republic.

The remarks come amid continuing tensions between Iran and Western countries.
