Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it targeted a number of “U.S. bases in the region” with Aerospace Force missiles in response to what it described as a U.S. attack on the Sirik area and Qeshm Island.
The statement was issued by the IRGC’s Public Relations Department and published by Iranian media outlets.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged of warning sirens sounding in Kuwait and Bahrain.
At the same time, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that American forces intercepted and destroyed several Iranian ballistic missiles and drones that had been launched toward the Strait of Hormuz and neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf.
Officials from both sides have not yet provided further details regarding the incidents or any potential damage and casualties.
