Sources in Herat have told Afghanistan International that Mohammad Hussain, the former police commander of Shahrak district in Ghor province, was killed on the Herat Airport Road.
According to the report, he was targeted in an attack by unidentified armed assailants. Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
