The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that he canceled the planned attacks against Iran that were scheduled to take place tonight.
In a message posted on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump wrote that he issued the order to halt the attacks following progress in negotiations and confirmation of that progress at the highest levels of Iranian leadership.
He also emphasized that the naval blockade against Iran will remain in place until a potential agreement is finalized.
