Ghulamullah Ahmadi, deputy commander of the Taliban’s 219th Omar Salis Division in Badakhshan province, has said that “everyone must fight” and that any individual or group that stands against the Taliban system “will be suppressed.”

Ahmadi made the remarks at a coordination meeting between spokespersons of Taliban departments and journalists in Badakhshan. He described the Taliban system, which the group calls the “Islamic Emirate,” as “unparalleled” and said the Taliban are prepared to confront their opponents militarily.

The Taliban official also called on media outlets affiliated with the group to engage in a “war” through the media and target what he described as the “propaganda and activities of opponents.” He emphasized the continuation of the media war against opponents.

The remarks come as Badakhshan has witnessed attacks against Taliban officials and authorities in recent months. Zabihullah Amiri, the Taliban’s director of information and culture in the province, was killed in an armed attack on July 28, 2026. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
