Sami Sadat, a former commander of the Afghan army's special forces, has described the Taliban's drone attacks on areas inside Pakistan as a "reckless escalation" of tensions and warned of its consequences.

He stated that these attacks could provoke a large-scale military response from Pakistan, and that the Afghan people should not have to pay the price for the Taliban's "dangerous and irresponsible" actions.

This comes as the Taliban Ministry of Defense announced that last night they targeted centers affiliated with ISIS in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pakistan, however, has rejected this claim and stated that terrorist groups are active within Afghan territory.
