Russian President Vladimir Putin rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal for direct talks and a ceasefire, stating that a meeting with the Ukrainian leader under the current circumstances would be “pointless.” Putin emphasized that the war would continue until Moscow achieves its stated objectives.
In response, Zelenskyy said that Russia has once again chosen war and has no intention of ending the conflict. Meanwhile, hostilities between the two sides continue. In the latest Russian attacks on Ukraine, at least 13 people were killed and 70 others were injured.
