Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s defense minister, has claimed that 70 to 80 percent of the people who carry out terrorist attacks in the country and target Pakistani army personnel are Afghan citizens.
He also called on Pakistani students not to support the presence of Afghan students in Pakistan.
The remarks come as Islamabad has, on various occasions, accused Afghanistan of being linked to armed attacks on Pakistani soil. Taliban officials have rejected these allegations.
