Today, videos published by media outlets showing his lifeless body have raised allegations of humiliating treatment of his remains.
The Afghan youth says: If Hasib treated his captives with compassion and humanity on the battlefield, the major question is why, after his death, the dignity of his body was not respected. War may be between two sides, but hostility toward a dead body is no longer war; it is a test of humanity.
In a society that has experienced decades of war, killing, and revenge, respect for the dead should be a boundary that no side crosses.
