The bodies of 14 Afghan citizens who died from extreme heat and dehydration while attempting to migrate irregularly to Iran through the deserts of Nimroz Province were transferred this morning to Darah-e Bum District in Badghis Province.
Adel Motawakel Tawhidi, spokesperson for the Taliban governor in Nimroz, told the media that the bodies were transported by helicopter from Nimroz to the Qoliqi area of Darah-e Bum District. According to him, all of the victims were residents of Pol-e Kohna village in the district.
According to the report, the victims lost their lives while crossing smuggling routes toward Iran due to extreme heat and a lack of water in the deserts of Nimroz.
