Ben-Gvir Calls Israel-Lebanon Agreement a “Major Mistake”

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has described his country’s agreement with Lebanon, brokered by the United States, as a “major mistake.

Criticizing the deal, Ben-Gvir urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to submit the agreement to the cabinet for discussion and a vote.

He claimed that the agreement does not guarantee Israel’s security and argued that the Lebanese government is incapable of preventing Hezbollah’s activities.
The Israeli government, however, has defended the agreement as a step toward reducing tensions along the country’s northern border, describing it as a significant achievement in strengthening regional security.
